Birthday Bear

i use to do a thing every year where i would design a birthday themed picture and then email or mail it out to friends on their birthdays. but as time went on, it got harder to think up images or just remember to design something before each new year. but this year, albeit here in mid february, i got something together. sorry to those whose birthdays were in january. just know i was thinking of you in spirit. and to those whose birthdays have yet to roll around, check your inboxes.

Kites

i was asked to do a piece which would be a tribute image for a departing editor. i came up with an idea and they floated one to me. they liked my idea and went with it, but i also liked their image idea so i ran with it and fashioned my own version of it.

i also included a few additional touches-- nods to some friends. sara is a good buddy of mine and when we get together we meet over pie, cause pie is good. PIES RULE!

fin is the baby boy of another friend. i also promised her that i would teach fin to play second base. my hope is that he'll be starting for the baltimore orioles in 2030.
